Announcing the Launch of the East Asian Community Review (EACR)

Will the assent of East Asia bring stability or chaos to the established international and regional order? The launch of a new journal, The East Asian Community Review (EACR), culminates many years of close cooperation between the Asiatic Research Institute (ARI) of Korea University and its partner universities in East Asia and academic publisher Palgrave Macmillan. Prior to publishing the first issue early this year, the journal homepage and on-line manuscript submission system went into service on December 22, 2017, the year the ARI commemorated the 60th anniversary of its founding. The journal will cover international, economic, sociocultural, and historical issues in East Asia from various perspectives and address challenges confronting the region’s increasingly prominent role in global affairs. We invite article submissions for the journal aiming to contribute to the formation of East Asia’s regional discourses and narratives timed with the region’s rise and empowerment.
